Truths About
Diets
Do
diets really work? They have been notorious for losing
weight right? It seems like almost every American has some kind
of diet going. Why is America so fat then? Because of diets.
Instead of diets change the terminology to “plan”. Reason
being, diets only work temporarily. Example: the lettuce diet,
the tuna diet.. etc.. Your body needs a balance of nutrients,
proteins, carbs, fats, etc. Dieting will only give you portions
of such elements. Plus most diets will offset your metabolism,
putting your metabolism into more of an starvation mode, were
your calorie burning system is shut off completely.
This is a
great example on how to easily go in to a plateau, and stay
there for many years. It is almost seen everywhere you go. It
think people have the wrong mentality about
dieting and fat
loss over all.
Quick weight
loss schemes don't work because
your body composition (less fat, more lean mass ) can't change
that fast. If you lose 15 pounds in 10 days using severe
calorie restriction and no exercise, just about all of that
weight loss will be lost muscle mass. Quick weight loss
diets are not intended for prolonged use. Although you may
not notice a problem at first, your body will soon stop
responding to the diet and the weight loss will reach a
plateau.
Eating too
few calories can be almost as harmful to your diet plans as
eating too many. When you eat significantly fewer calories than
you need, your bodies metabolism slows down, you'll feel
sluggish, and you won't be able to burn the calories you do eat
efficiently. Eating might have become a social event for you.
As a result, you’ll need to learn to be sociable without food.
Eating the right combination of these foods can lead to huge
gains, but unfortunately, few people want to implement these in
their daily diet.
Exercise is
important so that the body will be able to burn the
fat from the food that he eats. The food will be
transformed to energy so the more fat burning activities that a
person engages in, the more fat will be metabolized.
Exercise can only
increase calories out, depending upon your level of fitness and
the intensity at which you can stand to operate. Exercise and
good nutrition will promote optimum physical health. You need
an exercise regime that you can fit into your life on a daily
basis and don't always think diet.
