Ab Workouts For Getting Rid Of A Fat
Belly
Extra fat belly can keep you from looking
good and feeling good, but worse, it can be really hard on
your body and lead to serious illness. Knowing your body
type can give you a clear understanding on why you are
fat. Long skinny body types also have excessive body fat
and don't have trouble being fat, but they cannot gain
muscle as easily. Stocky, big boned body type have trouble
losing weight, but no problems gaining muscle. Muscle and
high metabolism is the catalyst of losing overall body
fat.
Ab
workouts such as sit ups, crunches and ab rollers are not
the solution to getting rid of your fat belly. Here are some
fat burning mistakes you must avoid ultimately:
Problem #1 - Trying to spot
reduce or spot weight loss (ab rollers and exercise
machines). You can't reduce fat in one location, no matter how
convenient that might be. Instead, you have to focus in an
overall body fitness regimen and proper dieting. In the
process, you'll lose that extra fat. Have a strategic plan of
attack when you workout at home or at your favorite gymnasium.
Ab workouts definitely has its place. However, that place is
the development of your abdominal muscles, not fat loss. After
you've lost the fat, you'll be able to see those muscles, but
you've got to lose the excess fat first.
Problem #2 - Working out
incorrectly, for too long. Not knowing the difference can make
or break you. Like the bowflex commercial 20 minutes 3 times a
week, believe or not it works (they leave out the dieting part
out) It's true - you can work out too much. For optimum fat
loss effectiveness, you should be doing your cardio in the
morning, on an empty stomach(Yes, gotta get up early). Start
slow, I found most effective is an Elliptical Machine or Gym
Bike. Put it on a high setting, grab your ipod and let the
calorie burning furnace do its awesome work. 30-35 is great but
stick with at least 20minutes. Not any longer as your body
adjusts and it shuts down the calorie
burning mechanism.
Problem #3 - It is not all
about cardio. It's one of the most common misconceptions in the
fitness world; Cardio for fat loss, weights for size. Wrong.
One of the most effective fat loss secrets is to elevate your
basil metabolic rate. This keeps your body in a calorie burning
furnace all day long. One of the most effective ways to elevate
your basil metabolic rate, and keep it up, is to build lean
body mass using weight training. It significantly increases
your basil metabolic rate not only during the workout, but
through the day and while you sleep. Muscle is the catalyst of
all fat burning. (don't worry about looking like Arnold, it
took him years of intense training and other
"supplements")
Focus on keeping track of
your calories, if you are a male, 200 lbs stick with 2200
calories a day. This are the consuming calories, remember that
your body will burn off calories during workouts and after
workouts. Same for females if you are 120-135 lbs stick with
1200-1500 calorie intake. Spread out your meal into 6 different
times with a 3-3.5 hour difference. This will elevate your
basil metabolic rate (calorie burning on autopilot) and you
will reap its benefits.
Hot Tip: Negative calories.
Yes, this is where the fun begins. Negative calories is the
amount of calories at the end of your day you have burned off.
Say, your calorie daily intake is 2200 calories, and you worked
out this morning and burned 400-600 calories on you 20 minute
Elliptical session. You just went to sleep to 1600 calories
just from your work out. But don't forget if you keep your
BMR(basil metabolic rate) that's an additional 200-300
calories, you see where i am going.
After all 1 pound of fat
equals around 3500 calories (get your body fat % and subtract
it to your normal weight that equals your total fat pounds,
eghh). Getting rid of 1 1/2 - 2 pounds of fat a week is very
healthy and most recommended. Stay focused on your calorie
intake and your workout sessions, start slow but with a weekly
goal in mind and you will be sporting some sexy
washboard abs in a few months and saying good by to that fat
belly forever.
