Abdominal Exercises
and High Metabolism Killer Combo:
Abdominal
exercises and a high metabolism may really help you.
For best results in fat loss or increased energy having a
high metabolism may be the key. Metabolism is the rate by which
the body produces and consumes energy and calories in scale
that the body can operate functionally. It has different
chemical and biological factors. But suffice it to say that
what is probably most interesting is that a higher metabolism
will help you burn more calories, which will help you lose
weight. Metabolism is a entangled biochemical manner. In simple
terms your metabolism is the amount of energy (calories) your
body burns to maintain itself. Metabolism is influenced by age.
Every decade of life, our metabolisms slow at a rate of about
5% per decade after we turn 40.
Metabolism is
the conversion of food into energy. The hotter this fire, the
more calories the body will burn. Metabolism is controlled by
the thyroid gland in the neck, which in turn is controlled by a
part of the brain called the hypothalamus. It is generally
measured according to your basal metabolic rate (BMR), which is
your resting metabolism. Metabolism is a natural phenomenon and
you need not put any effort on your part. It is happening even
in your sleep, yes you are building six pack
abs. :)
Metabolism is
affected by your body composition. By body composition, I mean
the amount of muscle you have versus the amount of fat.
Metabolism and the role it plays in quality of life is much
bigger than we understand it today.
More Often
Studies have shown that those who eat 4-6 smaller meals per day
have less body fat than those eating 2-3 meals a day, even if
both groups eat about the same number of calories. This is
because of maintaining steady blood sugar levels. Generally,
the more muscle mass one has, the higher one's metabolism
is, resulting in more calories being burned which means
ripped
abs to come.
Genetics can
determine body shape and a person's natural build just as it
does eye color, hair color, skin color, and so on. The good
news is that genetics do not determine whether or not one will
be fat, but will determine one's body shape. Obesity is defined
as a body mass index of 30 and over. Obesity in civilized
countries is reaching epidemic proportions. What is worrying is
that the children too are now more obese than ever before in
the history of man kind!
Obesity
causes or aggravates a wide range of health problems from high
blood pressure, to arthritis, to certain forms of cancer. The
good news is that weight loss--actually body fat loss--can help
prevent or control the development of many of these
diseases.
Fat
loss can be full on hard work and if not approached
correctly, it can be debilitating and depressing. Resistance
training revs up your metabolism for up to two hours following
a workout. Fat loss can occur without any exercise at all so
long as energy from food intake is less than the energy the
body uses throughout the day. Recent research has shown The
combination of eating less and adding daily exercise does not
net a better result in fat loss than diet or
exercise alone. Fat loss
can be confusing. Different people need different programs, but
there are some common rules.
Generally
speaking, the faster your heart rate is during exercise, the
more energy you’re burning and the faster your metabolism will
run in response to that energy demand. Great, so lengthy
heart-pumping exercises like brisk running are what we should
strive for, right? Abdominal exercises are also an
important player to your fitness.
